Tour Overview

Tanzania is famous for its wildlife, with large numbers of animals and birds, so your safari will give you plenty to talk about. If you like comfort but don't need luxury, this 3 Days Tanzania Mid-Range Safari gets the balance right: good wildlife, great scenery and comfortable places to stay at a fair price, and it still feels like a real Tanzanian safari.

After a day out in the wild, you come back to a comfortable, well-equipped room that has what you need, all at a mid-range price.

Want a short Serengeti safari that still gives you real time with the animals? This 3-day Tanzania mid-range safari is a good answer. It's spent entirely in Serengeti National Park in Northern Tanzania, one of Africa's most remarkable wildlife areas, where there's much more to see than the Great Migration. The yearly trek of about 1.5 million wildebeest is a highlight, but the park is rich in wildlife all year: big herds, predators and black rhinos, which were introduced recently. That makes it a good place to look for the Big Five, with comfortable mid-range lodges to come back to.

  • Serengeti National Park: You spend three days in Africa's best-known park. The Maasai named it “Serengeti” for its endless grass plains, which hold some of the richest grazing in Africa. You can see lions, leopards, cheetahs, elephants and the shy black rhino, and your base is a cozy mid-range lodge or tented camp.

Over 500 species of birds have been recorded in the area, including eagles, bustards, owls, cranes, herons, vultures, and secretary birds. It is here where the world’s great migration is observed. 3. Day 2 Full Day in Serengeti National Park

Breakfast at around 0800am. Proceed with morning and afternoon game drives in the Serengeti with a lunch and leisure break at the Camp in the midafternoon. The term Serengeti means endless plains in Masaai language. In the central plains there are carnivores like leopard, lion, hyena and cheetah. This park is normally the scene of the annual migration of wildebeest and zebra that occurs between the Kenyan Mara and the Serengeti. Varied bird species can be seen here including eagles, ducks, geese, egrets, vultures, secretary birds, ibis, stork, herons, kites, pelicans, cranes and guinea fowl. The Serengeti National park is an arguably the best known wildlife sanctuary in the world with over 3 million large mammals. About 35 species of plains animals can be seen there including the “big 5” - Elephant, Rhino, Lion, Leopard and Buffalo. Other common species found here includes hippo, giraffe, eland, impala and other antelope types, baboons, monkey and a profusion of over 500 species of birds. In May or early June, huge herds of wildebeest, gazelle and zebra begin their annual spectacular migration northwards. In their wake follow predators, lion, cheetah and wild dogs with vultures circling overhead! Come back for dinner and overnight.

    Optional

If you like to watch wildlife from another perspective, we recommend you to go on a balloon safari. It is an amazing experience to drift silently above the plains with herds of wildlife.
The hot-air balloon gently takes you up in the air and floats wherever the morning winds may take you. During the ride you have a stunning and far-reaching view of the great plains of the Serengeti. From here you can spot big herds of wildebeest, giraffes and prides of lion’s right below you. At the right time of year and with a good amount of luck you might even be able to experience the great migration from above.

  • Absolutely Beautiful Memories For My Family

Traveling with my 6 members of my family of ages between 8 and 73 is always a complex task with many moving parts. We had to arrange for Mama and Poppas dietary restrictions, accommodations, easy access for Mama and off-course places with a pool and kids activities for Lil Poppa and his teenage sister Anna.

Starting with the booking with Naick who made it smooth and easy with his timely responses and advice.
