Our Story
Kilisa Tours & Safaris is a locally owned and run tour company in Tanzania. We organize Tanzania safaris, Mount Kilimanjaro treks, Zanzibar beach holidays and cultural visits. We're based in Tanzania and our team is local, so we can show you the country's wildlife, landscapes and cultures the way we know them. We know this land well, and we take safety, professionalism and responsible tourism seriously. We plan and run private and group safaris, Kilimanjaro climbs and Zanzibar extensions, and we shape each trip around your interests, your comfort and what you want to get out of it. Our local guides are trained in wildlife interpretation, mountain safety and customer care, so you learn a lot and stay safe along the way. We'll take you across the wide plains of the Serengeti, into the Ngorongoro Crater with all its wildlife and through Tarangire National Park, up to the summit of Mount Kilimanjaro and onto the white-sand beaches of Zanzibar, and we're proud of every trip we put together. As a responsible local tour operator in Tanzania, Kilisa Tours & Safaris follows sustainable tourism practices: we support local communities, protect the natural environment and travel in an ethical way on our safaris and treks. My name is Naick Msemo, and I'm the founder and managing director of Kilisa Tours and Safaris. I'm Tanzanian, born and raised in the Kilimanjaro region. I have a lot of experience and a great team, and together we work hard to give you a high-quality trip. As director, I focus on organizing tours in an ethical and professional way, so that our guests get more than they expected. Our tours create jobs for local people, especially our hard-working porters and guides, which helps families here move out of poverty. We use natural resources in a sustainable way, for people today and for future generations. We are not an agency that rents guides. We are the guides, and we always make sure you're well looked after.
