Tour Overview

At 07:30, after breakfast, we drive to Lake Manyara National Park. On the way we stop for a break in Mto wa Mbu and pick up our lunch boxes at Jambo Lodge. Lake Manyara is a beautiful park with many different habitats and landforms: the Rift Valley wall, groundwater forest, acacia woodland and open grassland, down to the shores of Lake Manyara and the lake itself.

We have a picnic lunch at the Msasa Picnic site, which has great views over the lake. After lunch we go on an afternoon game drive to look for the park’s plants and animals. There are some 350 different bird species in the park. You may also see gazelle, impala, buffalo, wildebeest, hyena, baboon, giraffe, hippo and the tree-climbing lions that Lake Manyara is famous for.

In the late afternoon we drive back and drop you off at your hotel.
