Tour Overview

We pick you up early, at 6AM, and drive to Tarangire National Park. The drive takes almost 4 hours. You spend the whole day in the park and drive back in the evening.

Tarangire National Park is best known for its old baobab trees and the large elephant families that gather near the park’s main water source, the Tarangire River. Besides the elephants and their calves, Tarangire is home to zebras, giraffes, hyenas, warthogs, buffalos, lion, leopard, cheetah, lesser kudu and oryx.

Bird lovers will enjoy it too. More than 550 bird species live in Tarangire National Park, so there’s plenty to look for. Yellow-necked spurfowl, white-crowned shrikes and black-necked weavers are some of the birds you’ll see most often.

Wide rolling grasslands, thick acacia bush, baobabs and palm trees give Tarangire a look of its own that you’ll remember long after the trip.

In the late afternoon we drive back and drop you off at your hotel.
