If you're short on time but still want to experience Tanzania's incredible wildlife, our 4 Days Tanzania Mid-Range Safari is perfect for you. This tour starts and ends in Arusha, taking you to three of Tanzania's most iconic wildlife destinations:

  • Tarangire National Park: You start here. Known for its large baobab trees and huge elephant herds, especially during the dry season, this park offers a great chance to spot wildlife like zebras, giraffes, and birds. You'll stay in a comfortable mid-range lodge or tented camp, blending adventure with comfort.

  • Serengeti National Park: Next, you head to the Serengeti, famous for its wide, grassy plains and rich biodiversity. It's known for lions, leopards, and the Great Migration of wildebeest. Here, you'll enjoy the perfect mix of safari excitement and relaxation in a well-appointed mid-range accommodation.

  • Ngorongoro Crater: Finally, you visit the Ngorongoro Crater, one of the world’s largest volcanic calderas. Home to up to 30,000 animals, including rhinos and elephants, it's a wildlife haven. You’ll stay in a nearby mid-range lodge that offers comfort and a great place to rest after a day of exploration.

  • Starting and Ending Point: Arusha

  • Children Policy: Children aged 5 years and above can join the safari with the supervision of a parent or guardian.

  • Languages: English, Spanish, Italian, French, and German. A Swahili to English phrasebook can also come in handy to enhance communication with the locals.

  • Wildlife: Expect to see the Big 5 – lions, leopards, elephants, buffaloes, and rhinos, as well as zebras, wildebeests, giraffes, cheetahs, jackals, hyenas, and antelopes.

  • 4 days of game drives across Tanzania’s most iconic parks.

  • Opportunity to see the Big 5 up close.

  • Explore the Serengeti National Park and the Ngorongoro Crater – two of Africa's most famous wildlife destinations.

Throughout the safari, you'll be served delicious meals. For your safety, only bottled water is provided, and the vehicles are stocked with ample water to keep you hydrated during the game drives.

The term Serengeti means endless plains in Masaai language. In the central plains there are carnivores like leopard, lion, hyena and cheetah. This park is normally the scene of the annual migration of wildebeest and zebra that occurs between the Kenyan Mara and the Serengeti. Varied bird species can be seen here including eagles, ducks, geese, egrets, vultures, secretary birds, ibis, stork, herons, kites, pelicans, cranes and guinea fowl. The Serengeti National park is an arguably the best known wildlife sanctuary in the world with over 3 million large mammals. About 35 species of plains animals can be seen there including the “big 5” - Elephant, Rhino, Lion, Leopard and Buffalo. Other common species found here includes hippo, giraffe, eland, impala and other antelope types, baboons, monkey and a profusion of over 500 species of birds. In May or early June, huge herds of wildebeest, gazelle and zebra begin their annual spectacular migration northwards. In their wake follow predators, lion, cheetah and wild dogs with vultures circling overhead! Come back for dinner and overnight.

Optional

If you like to watch wildlife from another perspective, we recommend you to go on a balloon safari. It is an amazing experience to drift silently above the plains with herds of wildlife.
The hot-air balloon gently takes you up in the air and floats wherever the morning winds may take you. During the ride you have a stunning and far-reaching view of the great plains of the Serengeti. From here you can spot big herds of wildebeest, giraffes and prides of lion’s right below you.
