This 11 Days Kilimanjaro Combine Tour is designed for adventure seekers who want to experience the best of Tanzania — conquering Mount Kilimanjaro and embarking on a thrilling safari.

Mount Kilimanjaro – Machame Route

The Machame Route is one of the most popular and successful routes on Mount Kilimanjaro, known for its high summit success rate due to its favorable "trek high, sleep low" acclimatization profile.

  • The route starts on the southwest side of the mountain and ascends through lush rainforest, alpine meadows, and rugged volcanic terrain.

  • It traverses the Shira Plateau, eventually joining the Shira and Lemosho routes near the Shira Cave Camp.

  • The Machame Route offers some of the most spectacular views of Kilimanjaro’s glaciers and the surrounding landscape.

Safari Adventure

After the Kilimanjaro climb, you’ll embark on a thrilling safari to three of Tanzania’s top national parks — Serengeti National Park, Ngorongoro Crater, and Tarangire National Park.

Serengeti National Park

The Serengeti is world-famous for its massive wildlife population and the Great Migration.

  • Home to over 1.5 million wildebeest, 200,000 zebras, and 350,000 gazelles — the largest land migration on earth.

  • The park is also known for its population of big cats — lions, leopards, and cheetahs — along with elephants, giraffes, and antelope.

Ngorongoro Crater

The Ngorongoro Crater is the largest intact volcanic caldera in the world, measuring 265 sq. km with walls rising up to 600 meters.

  • It hosts a dense population of around 20,000 to 30,000 animals year-round.

  • The Big Five — lion, leopard, elephant, buffalo, and rhino — are frequently spotted here.

Tarangire National Park

Tarangire is one of Tanzania’s lesser-visited parks, known for its large herds of elephants and majestic baobab trees.

  • The park is home to zebras, giraffes, waterbucks, and an array of bird species.

  • The Tarangire River serves as a permanent water source, attracting wildlife throughout the dry season.

  • Duration: 11 Days, 10 Nights

  • Starting and Ending Point: Arusha

  • Children Policy: Children aged 5 years and above are welcome under parental supervision

  • Languages: English, Spanish, Italian, French, and German
Tip: A Swahili-to-English phrasebook is helpful for better interaction with locals.

  • Main Wildlife: Wildebeest, zebra, lion, leopard, elephant, giraffe, cheetah, jackals, hyenas, antelope, and Cape buffalo

  • Climb the highest mountain in Africa via the scenic Machame Route
  • High summit success rate with easy acclimatization
  • Experience diverse landscapes from rainforest to volcanic rock
  • Explore Serengeti National Park and witness the Great Migration
  • Visit the world-famous Ngorongoro Crater and Tarangire National Park
  • 4 days of game drives with opportunities to spot the Big Five

Here we rest, enjoy dinner, and overnight. Very early in the morning (midnight to 2am), we continue our way to the summit between the Rebmann and Ratzel glaciers. At Stella Point (18,600 ft), you will stop for a short rest and will be rewarded with the most magnificent sunrise you are ever likely to see (weather permitting). From Stella Point, you may encounter snow all the way on your 1-hour ascent to the summit. At Uhuru Peak, you have reached the highest point on Mount Kilimanjaro and the continent of Africa. Faster hikers will see the sunrise from the summit.

From the summit, we now make our descent continuing straight down to the Mweka Hut camp site, stopping at Barafu for lunch. You will want gaiters and trekking poles for the loose gravel going down. Mweka Camp is situated in the upper forest and mist or rain can be expected in the late afternoon. Later in the evening, we enjoy our last dinner on the mountain and a well-earned sleep.
